Milutin Pavlovic received his B.F.A. from the University of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and M.F.A. from Indiana State University. Currently working as a designer at the Telfair Museum of Art, Pavlovic’s work has been featured in solo exhibitions in Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, and Yugoslavia. Since the mid-80s he has been represented in over 30 group exhibitions throughout the U.S. and in Yugoslavia. Professorial credits include teaching sculpture, 3D design, and painting at Armstrong Atlantic State University. He also taught at Savannah State University and at the School of Visual Arts in Savannah.
Artist Statement:
All the societies of our world deteriorate in front of our eyes. Heavenly voices: “self”, “me”, and “ego” sing a song of civilization as a broken record. While the intellect “grows stronger,” heart and body quietly vegetate in the corner of life.
Where is the love? Is it in the words with no action? We are the world and the world is us. Unless we fully (not intellectually) become aware of this simple fact, the great sadness, chaos, and misery will reign the world
